開幕式で二駅の結束を演出

On March 28, two railway‑linked complexes opened fully in Tokyo. Both venues held simultaneous opening ceremonies linked by live video. Station chiefs exchanged tape by riding the train between the sites. The event highlighted the unity of the two stations.

TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITYが商業・文化空間を拡充

TAKANAWA (TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY) is attached to the station in Minato. Part of the complex had already opened earlier. On the 28th, new museums and other venues began operating. JR East promotes the area as a gateway to Tokyo. JR East calls the region the ‘wide‑area Shinagawa zone.’ It runs from Hamamatsucho to Oimachi. TAKANAWA features an urban farm with roughly 1,800 plants. The system recirculates fish water to fertilise the crops.

OIMACHI TRACKSがショッピングとエンタメで来場者を魅了

OIMACHI (OIMACHI TRACKS) connects directly to Oimachi station. The venue houses shops, a cinema and other entertainment. About 5,000 people formed a queue at opening. Visitors entered the cinema and restaurants immediately. The complex includes office towers, luxury apartments and a hotel. New ticket gates ease passenger flow. A large plaza adds open space near the station. JR East president Yoichi Kise called the site a co‑creation platform.
